The ride to Margaritaville

I'm in. Even if I have to ride to Cedar Key to hook up. I hit Key West a couple of times a year. Remember to go where the locals go.

I'm in. It's only a 1/2 day ride for me but, who cares we'll have a great time while we're down there.

The ride to Margaritaville

Vic,

We're giving this some consideration but is kind of a long shot at this point. May be retired by then, which works in our favor but April is bad time to plan a bike trip in or out of the Front Range (our snowiest month). However, have already decided we could trailer to/from OKC and leave the tow vehicle there. One question at this point would be if there would be a good spot to park the pickup and trailer for the duration? Also, wife may need some down time in the van. Sounds like a fantastic trip. Are folks thinking camping or moteling or some combo?

Ells

Ells,

If you wanted to go another 180 miles east you would be welcome
to park at my house. I live 10 miles south of Ft. Smith, AR.

Okay, we're over that hump and a step closer. Thanks all.

BTW, I do agree that mid April would be the best time for the trip, latter part would avoid most the spring-breakers. I've lived in central Florida and have been to the Keys a couple times, once on spring break, fine place.

I see we have had a lot of the fine folks here step up for the parking situation, and of course you are more than welcome to park at my place if you like. Your wife may ride in the van anytime she would like, and that goes for everyone else as well. Moteling or camping we havnt got that far in the discussion yet, but I know I will be moteling it for sure

The ride to Margaritaville

If anyone needs a place to leave a vehicle near the east coast, my driveway is open.

Some may want to trailer part of the way and ride the rest.

The ride to Margaritaville

I should be able to blast out of here (Omaha, NE) in Apr and go due south. But it is nice to see that if needed I can trailer the Nomad south and leave the tow vehicle at a good safe site.

As far as camping goes, I may try some if the circumstance allow it.
