OK, here is your chance to state which area you think would be your choice for the 2010 rally. I think if we can nail down our #1 option before we all get super busy with summer riding, we can get good arrangements set in the area of our choice.

Please be sure to specify what your alternate choice would be if you do not like any of the above destinations. I would really like to have two group rides or possibly three (one long and 2 shorter ones). Kind of like there is planned for the national this year. Some of us will be traveling in excess of 700 miles one way to get there, so a short ride one of the two days or an option of that would be great.

Just throwing this out there to see what everyone thinks.

I've never been in the Shenandoah Valley area before.

I vote for that so I can fill in another state on my map.

I'm not trying to steer this rally from the Shenandoah Valley, but having it in the Helen, western NC, or eastern TN area might make it easier for Trip "the great-one" to make his appearance.

LOL, "the great-one". I like to think of Trip as the "All Knowing, All Seeing One"...kinda like the Wizard of KawaNOW. We are all but munchkins in the grand scheme of his domain.

As much as I would like it to be in the Shenandoah Valley.....Shouldn't we expect more to attend if more centrally located?

It would be bad for anyone from Florida no matter where we go, unless it was southern Georgia or Florida. I don't have to be in the mountains but I would like at least the foothills. I've seen flatlands and straight roads. A multi-day rally would justify a longer ride to get there...'course, I will probably just trailer mine again.

I personally don't care if it's a long ride. I'm just going to plan extra days for either travel or recovery when I get back.

I would rather go to new places and see new things each year. That's my .02

Some new scenery is my vote. Anything different from southeast Florida is good.

I agree on the different scenery. Though I would not mind returning to Helen, I would like to go somewhere else next year, perhaps returning to Helen in 2011.

Hey Mike, Never been there either, have ridden up into Virginia, a little ways on the Great Blue Ridge Parkway, enough just to color in my patch. When you get ready if we don't go up there in 2010, let's go ride the parkway? (he he he)

Sounds like a plan to me.
