This plug has 21000 miles on it

07-1600 Nomad; I checked my plugs today and one plug looks almost new. These are the original plugs with just over 21 thousand miles on them. The bike runs fine no hint of a skip, i run the highest octane with no additives except sta-bil over the winter. We often ride 2 up and pull a trailer on vacation with no power issues. This was the right rear the left rear and right front were nice golden brown with no build up and the left front was more carbon than golden but still didn't need cleaning. All gaped to about 34-35.
Is this normal, do you guys get similar results?

Slight golden brown electrode,... looks good!! The back plugs are almost always cleaner because they run slightly hotter.

With close to 30 k miles, while there is no sign of fatigue or erosion for the cost.... And I did check them each 10k and anti seized the THREADS..

Threads is in caps because some guys will goober the electrodes and that just won't work

And up your way you want to locate the water drains for the right rear plug well and the left front plug well and be sure they are clear.

I looked at the NKG website and they say these plugs are good for 20 to 40 thousand miles so I'll just keep on using them as others have said. If it ant broken don't fix it.

Dob of anti seize is a good idea once in a while. other wise the plugs could seize and strip the alloy threads on the engine side. if this didn't happen I would have owned a heli coil insert set 40 years and counting.

I never did figure out why the OEM Iridium plugs are a 100,000 mile plug but the owners manual says change them every 12,000 miles. Maybe its the "Brother-In-Law" effect. That's when the lead engineer has an in law who owns a spark plug manufacturing plant .
I switched to $2 Champions and even after 12,000 miles they still look new.

Unless the dealer swapped the plugs, mine were not Iridium as OEM.
