Nomad Trike

Came across this on Ebay. Thought it was interesting. Sure is WIDE
Someone asked how to get into saddlebags. Apparently you can get an option that allows the whole bag to slide back to gain full access :)

Wow TC, you and I must have been looking at this at the same time. I was just thinking about posting the link to the trike on eBay when I logged on and saw your post. Pretty cool looking trike, but as you said, it sure looks wide!

Not my style at all....but if it was required to keep me riding for some reason, I would go for it. Right now I will stick with 2 wheels.

WOW! Although I wouldn't own it, I LOVE seeing what a custom trike would look like with a Nomad!

I think it would look better if it had narrower tires/wheels that didn't stick out 3" past the fenders.

They need to do something, body work, to make the fenders sweep in, remove the saddle bags, and configure a trunk/rear end. The bags, bike fender, and wheel fenders make it look very wierd. Great idea finally, but needs some more consideration..

Apparently the bags can slide backwards allowing for access into them. (This question was asked of the owner to which he replied).

I agree... a bit strange. Could have made it more narrow by removing the bags and making more of a rear trunk area for storage.

I would have then used the bag's "design look" as my fender cover "theme" -- thus giving the bike the Nomad look when looking directly at it from the side.

The width of the bike should add to its stability in corners though.

Well, I do like it better than the "training wheel" conversions. At least one less tire to wear out.

That's goofy lookin'. I thought it looked good until practicality came to mind. For one, the seller says there's an option to have the bags slide back, not that this particular bike came with that option. Second, I agree with others, the back end needs help. A rear fender with no wheel under it looks kinda silly. Need to fabricate a rear end for it with a trunk and bring the rear wheels in a little - have the fenders mold into the truck and backseat.

If I were good at photoshop I'd have a field day with those pics...
