Two local accidents

We have had two separate accidents over the past 3 days that took 3 lives.

One was a former student of ours and his girlfriend. He was speeding on a crouch rocket, no helmets. The police got him on radar going 80 in a 45 and go behind him. He blew through a red light, then turned at the next road, went about 1/2 mile and hit a trailer that was turning . Both teens died within a couple hours. Analysis: stupidity, plain and simple.

The other was a 57 year old man, helmeted rider, that was taking off from a stop light when he was hit broad side by a 88 year old woman that thought she was in the left turn lane and took off when someone honked at her at the light. She was actually in the middle lane and crossed two, that's right, two left turn lanes and hit him. He died within hours. Analysis: a licensed driver that obviously should not be driving because she is not aware of her surroundings.

Both are tragic. One could have been prevented by just obeying the law. The other, well, I hate to say it, but some people shouldn't be on the road.

Fact is, some people should not be on the road.

Two local accidents

We had a 47 year old guy riding a sport bike that stopped to buy gas at a local station. His credit card wouldn't work which upset him. So as he wheelied out of the station he lost control, rode across two lanes of roadway, through a ditch and hit an 81 year old man cleaning his flowerbed next to his house. Stupidity is everywhere and surfaces when you least expect it.
