Dallas Motorcycle Show

I can't make this month's show in Dallas. I was really hoping to see the Vulcan 1700 Voyager. I know Trip is going and I am looking forward to seeing opinions on the quality and appearance of this bike. If there are any tall riders attending, I would especially appreciate their comments on comfort and leg room.

Thanks

Jon,
SWB and I are going. I'll try and give you a report after we get back.

What do you consider tall? I'm 6'1" and sat on a Voyager in Phoenix. It's kind of hard to tell sitting on a stationary motorcycle on a carpeted display booth floor, but it seemed comfortable to me.

It seemed less cramped than my buddy's Road Glide I rode a couple of weeks ago, but some of that may just have been his individual adjustments on his bike.

Thanks Cactusjack

I'm about the same size as CJ. Found the seat to be quite comfortable. The same seat is used for both the 09 Voyager and the Nomad. Leg room is about the same as our present Nomads. One thing I noticed is the floorboards had a lot of give when you put your weight on them. My 08 floorboards feel a lot more solid. One of the reps mentioned the lower fairings are relatively easy to take off for summer riding if so inclined. CJ and I uploaded some pictures over in the 1700 forum section. Both bikes were a lot less cramped than the Wing I did a test drive on at the show.

Thanks. Good news about seat comfort as well as more room then the GL1800.

I just noticed that Trip has created a 1700 Nomad/Voyager page. Sorry I should have noticed and created this post there.
