But with today's GAS PRICES I also want the best fuel mileage I can get!!!!

Don't get me wrong I know the new Nomad and Voyageur are decent bikes. I just don't like the bag design on these and the old style like mine that are on the new Vaquero suit it better.

Best price I could find on a 2010 Goldwing is 26,840.00 all in.

Best price I've found on a 2011 Electra Glide Classic Abs is 25,595.45 all in.

Depending on what you get for that... it seems like a good price.

The main thing is... what are you getting for that price? There are a lot of options on an Ultra. For a stripped-down version, that would be high here in the U.S. given what I have seen.

The Electra Glides are a stripped down Ultra, as Greg pointed out, wouldn't you rather have the Ultra with the cruise control and the lights on the beerbox, plus the other stuff. If you look in the states the prices are a lot better than here in Canada.

I went with a friend and his son to Manchester and Concord N.H. yesterday they were looking for a small bike. We went into 5 - 6 shops. I'm not up on Hd's or their accessories. Let alone their prices. But the HD shop in Concord had a impressive display of expensive machines. In the front window area they had six bikes Roadglides and Ultras with the 110 c.i. package, they were all priced at $37,999.00. I didn't know they had gone over the $30,000.00 price tag, so I was really surprised. Most of the other bikes were around $24,000.00. Is this the norm for HD prices these days?

Last fall when I was shopping, the local HD dealer had 4 2010 EG Ultras and they wanted 22K+ tax and fees. The 2011 RG Ultra was 23K+. I could have negotiated on the EG Ultra a little, but the RG Ultra was a starting point. The bikes with the 110CI engines are the CVO bikes. They demand a premium...

Well not being up on them, left me with sticker shock. I assume they sell a lot units to have as many as they did. I didn't check the prices of the Sportsters. And I only saw one Dyna, but the rest were in the upper range of HD and the prices were high. They are giving a Street Glide away, if you can unlock the safe, you win. They had free hot dogs and pop corn, but you had to buy a drink. Lots of souvenirs for sale. I actually enjoyed M.O.M.'s and National Powersports shops. By the way all the shops had 3-4 times more cruisers then sport bikes.

Market economics. That's what people will pay for an Ultra. If not one bought one after today, you'd see the prices drop somewhat until stock was sold and I would imagine the model would be discontinued.

Generally speaking, the people that ride BMWs or HD usually wouldn't buy the other brand. I've seen a several converts to BMW, but only one that wanted to go back, so far.
