Break In and Mods
I've read a bunch of break in threads so I have a good handle on that argument.
My quick question is this: Should I wait to install EJK/BAK/Exhaust until I get more than the current 200 miles on my Vaquero or go ahead an install everything? Thanks for any input!

Sounds good, I was thinking some had them dealer installed prior to delivery; just wanted to double check.
Thanks!

The piston rings and parts that "break in" or mate together is all mechanical and has nothing to do with exhaust or intake or fueling. I did take it pretty easy the first 2500 miles or so keeping it around 3200 r's or so and after that started taking it a little higher slowly. I now, after 6600 miles will take it to around 5,000 rpm every so often where the torque peak seems to crest and the bike is getting stronger and stronger and smoother. I am really happy. Kawasaki motors come with very tight tolerances when new and should be broken in carefully for awhile. It will pay off in the long run with a good running motor that will last.
