I used the Harley gaskets on 3 or 4 occasions and never had a problem.

I used them with stock pipes. The one thing you should do is re-torque the nuts after it's run for a bit. Never had a problem.

I suspect the problem is not with the gaskets, but rather the acorn nuts bottoming out on the studs. Get some washers and put them under the nuts and the problem will most likely be solved. At least that's what I did with my Cobra's and HD gaskets, and it worked...
