Fingers numb but good ride.

My buddy Daryl and I went on a short 50mile ride this afternoon after work. Drove by the bank and the sign said it was 43F at 4pm so called Daryl and he was game……unfortunately the sign lied! It was actually 34F….no wonder the snow on the grass wasn’t melting!! You can see the frozen lake in the first two pictures!

Ah, I'm guessing Daryl has the hand warmers on the bike? Bet his fingers were fine! Looks like a pretty day to ride, just the same.

I actually did not have my chaps on since I was not sure where I put them for the winter.
Daryls fingers I think might have been colder than mine because when we stoped at the gas station he made the comment about fingers being cold.I was going to ask him if he had heated grips but when he made the comment I just assumed he didnt have them.
The other thing he said was that he thought I would be warmer from the bike since the heat from the Voyger is directed away from the passenger.

Rasta, interesting color combination on your bike.
I have never noticed a Nomad without two tone bags.
Your bags and trunk look to be all silver. Is the paint stock?

When I got ready to put the trunk on last year I wanted to color match it to the bag doors. I asked my friend that was going to paint it how much paint he needed to do the trunk and the doors too since they had scratches when I got the bike. Thats when he asked if I wasnt doing the whole saddlebags.Thought about it and since he didnt mind doing it all, I went for it and I like it. Besides the bags now dont show as much dirt as they used to when they were blue

Hey Amin, looks like a nice day for a ride. We still have many feet of snow on the ground and tons of salt on the roads. When you are riding near a frozen lake or river you can actually feel the temperature drop. Sure hope Spring arrives soon for me and you. Ride safe this time of year, cagers are NOT looking for bikes yet.

43 is pretty nice ... we were out all afternoon yesterday at 4C ... lets see, that's ...ummm that's ... 5/9 or 9/5 ... + or was it - 32 ummm .. X9 = 36/5 = + 32 = 39.2 F ya that's it
Anyway, what was the price at the pump? We filled up Chevron 94 octane 1.51 L ..Lets see that's umm .. 1L = .264 US gals = 3.78 L in one Gal = 1.51 x 3.78 = $5.70 US Gal.

Hi Mike,
We have had 6 mondays in a row with snow falling.....might be getting 7 in a row!! It seems like what ever we get would melt during the week and get a fresh supply come Monday! In that sense would have been luck enough to be able to go out maybe once a week for a short ride, however my bike was apart getting stuff done to it. It wont be long and hope you can get out too!!

Gas at the pump for what I get 89 octane is $3.49 and dropping! Temp was 34F/1C but if it was 43F/6C it would have been a lot nicer

Watch it when there's ice or crossing bridges. I notice low traffic streets tend to be icy in the morning hours!
