How'd you go about doing that? I'm getting tired of this ridiculously tall windscreen and I'd put some thought into chopping it down. When I removed it a while back, I noticed it had that chrome plate along the bottom edge, so I'd been planning on cutting from the top. Did you remove the plate and reinstall after the cut, or just toss it with the rest of the screen?

Framer is in the same state, he should just come and do it for you.
I don't think he ever busy, he just rides around on his bike all day.

The chrome plate is all the holds the windshield on so don’t toss it. I just took the windshield off, cut 4”off the bottom, took the piece I just cut off and mark the holes and drilled it. The holes were off just a little so I widened them and installed the chrome trim.

Yes I do thanks for noticing and I’m busy this weekend (riding the Talimena with friends)

I'm glad to hear the weather is still good to ride down there. Turned cold and rain/sleet and maybe some snow up here.
Have fun, be safe and slow down enough to enjoy the colors.

Alright, sounds good. The chrome plate on mine stayed attached when I removed the windscreen, so I assumed it was a permanent fixture. Once I get around to chopping it down, I'll see about pulling the chrome off and using it as a template like you did. Thanks for the info.
