In the sun

Well I have to park my 2011 red vaquero in the sun and the saddle bags tops are now pink. I've used Maguire's ultimate compound which makes it look good over night and as soon as the sun hits it's back to pink.

Here is one way to deal with it: http://www.sagebrushdesigns.com/saddlebag_chaps.html
I have a similar set on my Nomad from a company that no longer offers them. Been on for the past 60,000 miles.

You can repaint them using Color-Rite or Touch up Direct ?

Then buy a motorcycle cover :)

So the discoloration was only the bag tops? Seems odd that the fairing and tank were not affected or were they? but not as much? Could it have been caused by a different substance ( wax/cleaner) used on the bags that reflects or protects paint from the sun differently?
