Got my reservation at 4 am this morning. I must have esp. Will be at the hotel friday night. Have to get a head start in case my buddys harley has problems. LOL! Dont tell him I said that when you see him.

Kelli and I are planning on coming up to join ya'll. But, we're going to leave on Friday and take the long way getting there. We will be in Caddo Valley Saturday afternoon. I didn't book at the base Hotel, but we're not far away. We will come to the base hotel and meet everyone, and exchange phone #s, or Budman, I' just pm you with my #. It'll be good to see some of the old group and some new faces. Kelli will finally get to see that I'm not lying.

Got my room booked at the Super 8.

If I shoot straight through East Texas and hit I-30... I can be in Caddo Valley in about 3.5 hours. So, I may leave a little early on Saturday and take my time... Stay off the slab and come in from the South. But, I'll be in CV probably around 4pm.

I have a new map of the Ozarks from Butler Maps that has motorcycle route highlighted. I think Scenic 7 is a popular choice for this group so we can check it out. My question is, since we have so many, "Do I need to bring the trailer for the pick up crew?" hehehe. Just Kidding!

Will probably need to have a crash course in dealing with riding through oil slicks and On dealing with large amounts of debris on the roadway. Also will need to have some alternative lodging along our route for those bikes that just can't make it back to the base motel.

I hate to say it..... but keep your eye on Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac this week. It may effect our plans for the CV ride.

It's predicted to possibly hit New Orleans. Mitch must be locking down the shutters right now. And make its way into Arkansas on Friday.

As far as weather is concerned. Right now in NE Oklahoma (I know, 300 miles away can change a lot), but they are not saying anything about it coming this far west. Labor Day weekend is supposed to be HOT and SUNNY. But, looking at one of the predictions for it, it is going to go right through the middle of Arkansas Thursday night - Friday morning. Maybe it'll be long gone by the time you guys get up there.
