The Super 8's I've stayed in have all been pretty good.
If y'all think we better not wait to decide.
Maybe we should stay there.

I just looked at the map to see where you guys were going... that wouldn't be a bad ride for me. My dad and I were just talking about riding to Hot Springs and doing an overnight ride. IF it's even a possibility for me, I wouldn't be able to get there until Sunday sometime... meet you guys that evening and morning, then head back home Monday. It looks like it's about 275-280 miles for me. I just did that much this past Sunday. I'd probably try and talk my dad into going with me (VTX1800) and maybe picking up my cousin on the way (HD Ultra).

Just an FYI on hotels/motels. I see there is a Hampton Inn there also. They have always been very nice rooms and beds. That usually where we stay when we take trips.

Im bringing one of my buddys. He's a Harley rider so we need to keep some road side assistance numbers on us. Those guys never believe their bikes will let them down. I will be in charge of that since im bringing him.

Cheryl and I are considering the Caddo Valley event. (300 miles each way is no problem for my trailer. ) Thanks to those that have asked us to consider the trip.

We do have a couple of other family gigs that could develop for that weekend. Also need to see what the weather is going to do.

It does sound like a great mini rally.

BTW, We have our reservations for Antlers.

Jesse the hugh raise I received for the new job is still not enough to just run all over the world anytime I want to, you know I have to fly Air Force 2 all the time and I am trying to keep your taxes down.

Took a gander at the motel rates in Caddo Valley......

Online, a basic room rate for the Best Western shows to be 133.00!
Rates for Super 8 show to be 54.99. 15% discount of that if reserved 7 days in advance.

So, Dave, if you think we should go ahead and make reservations at the Super 8....... just say the word.

Like I said, I've stayed in several and they have all been okay.
Looking at the rates I'd say that's the way to go.
But I've never seen the place, so don't blame me if it's a dump.

Alright.... let's call the ALDR (Arkansas Labor Day Run) base hotel as the Super 8 in Caddo Valley, AR. Phone for reservations is:

Super 8
(870) 246-8585
118 Valley St, Caddo Valley, AR 71923

I-30 Exit 78

Let's plan for everyone to get to the motel Saturday evening, Sept. 1st. We'll ride choice roads of the area on Sunday and head back home on Monday, Labor Day.

Comments... suggestions?

Are we looking at the same Best Western? I got two nights at the BW Continental Inn for $69/night.

No worries, though. We'll just coordinate meeting up with you guys when we get there. :)

I'm going to try to make this. Since I'm now a Harley rider, I'm kinda unsure if my bike will make it though. Will someone be available to ride behind me to police up the bits and pieces that come off it?
