shiny-side-down WTB left side parts :(

well....need to replace everything on the left side that you would expect to be damaged in 30mph drop & slide.

windscreen
grip (wanted new anyway)
clutch lever
crash bars - man did these hold up well...took all the hurt
left hard-bag handle (seems difficult to find)
wanted new handlebars anyway so those too
fire&steel turn signal (+visor)
headlight (+visor)
front fender chrome tip

Replacement sources for some items are straight forward but I'm just posting here to get any advice that's out there. Would like to save where I can and not make any mistakes - on handlebars for example.

Thanks!

-brian

Id check Ebay for some of those items, if your timings right you should be able to find some of that stuff at a good price.

have a look at this nevermad...I don't know anything about YOUR bike. The yr. etc. I was just browsing ebay and remember seeing this. It isn't new and it might not be as good as what you have already I just saw it. I'd also go to http://www.bikebandit.com/

If you want another scratched latch I might be able to get you a scratched one for free instead of paying $50 for the one on e-bay.

thanks for the responses.

the bike in question is an 1500 (2002)

My latch works...it's just badly scratched and I wouldn't be interested in another scratched one....i'll keep looking...

I'll check out the cycletharapy site...thx

I would be interested in anyone's thoughts on aftermarket handlebars!

Another good source is http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc I have dealt with them a few times, and since they are close by I have even picked up items and shipped them to buddies. Often a set of eyes to inspect are worth it when dealing with expensive items. Happy to help if I can.

Brian, you might try kawasakipartsnation.com. for some of your needs.
<s>I'm ordering</s> I just ordered Right side guards for Lucille after yesterday's incident. They are definitely cheaper than the dealer price and beat cheapcycleparts by 7 or 8 bucks each. $68 for the front and $67 for the rear.
Looks like I was a little more fortunate than you were, as my parts list stops with the guards and engine guard chaps after a drop at similar speed. Fortunate that I didnt broadside the "beast" that pulled across my lane and stopped; and more-so that Dear Baby Daughter and I didnt get worse than the roadrash we have.

glad you and yours were ok :)

I ordered before reading ... your prices are good. I did find a wide range of prices for OEM parts but the best deal was far from home at www.powersedge.com

Thanks everyone!

I would definitely check eBay and some of the online cycle parts places. If you go through dealers the left rear crash bar is $90 plus, the clutch lever and left mirror together are about $60 or $70 dollars. Don't ask me how I know. I replaced those on my 2008 Nomad. I will probably replace the left front crash bar and it will be around $90 through the dealer. I may check out eBay and see if anyone has one. My left saddlebag handle is scratched but I think I will live with it.

Thanks. Some folks have "a" Guardian Angel, I keep a squadron of them employed full-time

Sarah and I are healed, and Lucille's Rt side guards replaced. Left Engine guard on order. I didnt notice it pushed back until later. Sarah told me the next day "Dad, I need a new helmet since mine hit the concrete" She's a gamer. Her new lid has already been purchased.
