Well I was at my local dealer and checked out the new Nomad a little closer. Really don't like the look of the exhaust and hard bags. The hard bags have too much space between the frame when looking from the front. The lines to me, are definitely not as nice as the older versions. The exhaust is bulkier looking.

Wish I had the 6 speed tainee though.

Should I ever get another Nomad it'll be a 2008 or older.

If you're reading this and have a 1700 take no offense. Just my opinion. :) :) :)

I can do a decent Charles Bronson or John Wayne, but I can't do a 1700 impression. ::)

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. I have yet to see an 09 Nomad up close.

If you look at BDs picture he is striking a topless Las Vegas showgirl pose. So we know BD can do a showgirl impression.

Maybe Kawasaki hired an old Yamaha dealer? Look at the evidence . . .

good point I see alot of likes in those two bikes. You wont see me wanting to fondle a 1700 in any form or fashion. IMHO

I like the 1700, but I don't plan to give up my 2007 1600 any time soon. I love the looks of the 1600 the best. I like the long tank and stretched out look. Now that I have a fairing (Upper and lowers) and plan to get a trunk (already have the wompus rack) I have everything I want in my bike for now.
