And to think, all these years I thought the "Imperial gallon" was just a big tub of margarine. ::)

$1.24 a litre here, I head to Ontario for gas when ever I can.

Norm; your close enough to the border to head for gas there, and get a better deal on fuel.

Your right Steve, I should take the time to do that. It's about 50 minutes to plattsburg, but it is in the wrong direction from my usual travels. Most weekends on my way to the cottage in the winter, I pass through Hawkesbury On where the gas regularly runs 10 cents a litre cheaper than here. I fill up the truck and a bunch of gerry cans for the snowmobiles.
Anybody know, do they add ethanol to U.S gas without advertising it on the pump. Gas with that in it is hard on a 2cycle engine.

I don't know Norm, if they add anything to the gas. I haven't ever had a problem running the bike on U.S. fuel. I stick to Chevron in Canada and the U.S. whenever possible. Otherwise Shell if it's there.

It's not the bike or my truck I am so concerned about Rick, it is my snowmobiles. Due to the nature of a 2 cycle engine, ethanol in it can be bad news. It attracts moisture. It gels when it starts to break down which can clog jets causing a piston destroying lean condition. It also interferes with the oils ability to lubricate properly.
I prefer to steer clear of it if I can.

I agree ethenol in a 2 stroke is a plain bad idea. I don't have a sled, but do have saws and I run them a little oil rich. I did eat a bottle cap on my Saches Dull Bar 120 super for it. eats case seals too. Seek real gas.

Someone on here had a link to real gas, and one of the places was just down the road a piece from me in Freedom NH. it happens to be a gun store too
