tach hook up

has anybody hooked up a tach just in the shop for testing and adjusting? i was wondering if i could hook up a hand held auto type shop tach for fine tuning a tfi controler my hearing is not the best to just listen to the engine and be able to tune it

I use a hand held tach. Ez-Tach plus #328. Works great.

how hard is it to hook up what wires and coil did u use

you have 1 wire with a clip that goes around a spark plug wire. takes 15 seconds to hook up
