1. Have the seat padding cut down. 2. Check shock absorber companies for shorter rear shocks. 3.Drop fork tubes an inch or so in the triple trees. 4. Don't laugh, but try some thicker soled boots. Do each of these things in moderation and you'll be all set.

Similar situation here; I have about a 29" inseam. I went with Progressive aftermarket shocks in the rear, 1 inch shorter than stock (12" vs. 13" length). If you go to their site you can see that they offer as short as 11" which would give you the 2" that you need.
http://www.progressivesuspension.com...-series-shocks I debated whether or not to do a fork lowering kit on the front but the 1" on the back made the difference that I needed so left the front alone.

I lowered my 1600 and hated the way it handled. I just deal with it when I stop.

Yep, the best is just a little all over....couple of inches off the seat, then off the shock and forks, Elton J. boots, can even go with shorter dia. tires....it all depends how serious you are to get your feet on the ground....

My michelin commander 2s lowered the back a bit, lower, wider rear tire. Nice. I'd do shorter rear shocks, but I'd never mess with the triple tree.

I'm going to try shaving the seat myself. Looks pretty straightforward and what's the worst that could happen?..........
