Ordered reckless fairing

I just ordered the fairing unpainted, 6 1/2" speakers, no stereo. I also ordered the radio cover. I am thinking of going with solid Candy Cardinal Red for paint and maybe some titanium color pinstriping. Any suggestions on stereo or paint would be welcome.

Sounds like your on a path that will keep you busy for quite a while. Any stereo you choose will work, I chose mine because it has a front USB poer so I can use my Ipod, its a Sony car deck and works well. I just installed some more speakers on my Tour Pak yesterday and wired them up.

There are many choices for stereos out there, I chose a marine rated unit. Did you order a windshield? I ordered an 8 or 10" shield and cut it down to my desired height. Had my fairing painted 2-tone but reversed the colors and had matching pin striping added to break up the colors a bit. Be sure you get a clear coat on the paint to protect from road grime. Good luck, you'll enjoy the fairing.

I ordered the 8 inch clear shield. Will cut down if too high. Thinking of ordering one of the flip up designs later. I hear they all pretty much fit if they are 3 hole.

I'm using A ploy planar MR-50 it's waterproof so no rain cover needed it looks and sounds good . Almost done with the install half painted and half installed .You can go to star marine depot for the stereo and check it out .

Thanks Darksider. Look forward to seeing your finished fairing. I see you live in Pasco. We might of crossed paths or might in the future since you live so close to Spokane.

We were up in Spokane a couple of weeks ago for the motorcycle show. We usually ride "somewhere" every weekend.
I'll post pics if/when I get my fairing back this weekend.

We have the same paint combo; here's my Reckless fairing with the paint job I put on it. Plus, I laid on the 3M protective coating on it as well.

That is almost exactly how I am getting mine painted.
The shop called me to say they had to order the paint so it will take a couple more days to finish. I should be able to pick it up mid week.

My fairing was black, but I had to go to the two-tone to match the bike and I am very happy with the result
