Rayski:
He was up and talking about the accident at the rally banquet that night. He had a fairly large bump on the head above the right eye, a few cuts and scratches, and several aching muscles. From his description, it could have been much worse, and we are all thankful he made it through.
Regards, Steve

Yeah... we haven't heard much from Noel. Hopefully he is doing well. He is great guy.

I owe him and his brother a great deal of gratitude for helping me in Maggie Valley... I have yet to pay them back yet.

Noel... if you read this... hope you are doing well. Let us know.

I'm going to heal, the bike is not. I was indeed fortunate to get out of this one. I had a choice of leaning deeper into a wet two lane turn or cutting accross traffic to a turn out on the opposite side (in front of two trucks). I chose the turn out and ended up sliding about 60 feet on gravel on my right side. The Nomad and my leathers left me unscathed from that part. Unfortunately inertia was still at work when the gravel ran out and slight rise flipped the bike to its left side. I was tossed face first into the dirt (thus the bang on the forehead) and must have folded up as I flipped over. Very stiff and sore in the neck and back. That is clearing up but I've got tingling and pain in the left arm if I move my neck wrong. More check ups coming. Thanks for all the concern from so many. I have received pm's and calls and trully appreciate all of them. The rally goers were all there for me with sympathy and help. KawaNOW is a great organization.

By the way, I was alone, Otter was not on this trip.

Thanks for the report. Glad you are doing better. It will take a while for all the soreness to leave. Sure glad it wasn't any worse than it was. Take care and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear about your accident. But, it sounds like you a luck not to have more injures and for that I am thankful.

Badger,
So glad you made it through the crash. My heart was in my throat when I was reading your account. As you know, I certainly know what it feels like.

Could you ride your Nomad back to South Dakota? I am glad Otter did not go!

I just got my Nomad back on Saturday. A long, drawn out process. Each bag cost over $1100.00. There is no reason for that other than simple greed.

I wasn't glad to hear of your crash, but I'm certainly glad to hear you will heal up fine.

Our thoughts and prayers are for you and Otter.
