***Everything Spring Rally***

SE Regional Rally is going to be held in Helen, GA on April 24-26, 2009. The hotel will be the Hampton Inn. You may call the hotel at (706)878-3310 and tell them you are with the Ron Allan Group (she just assumed I wanted to use my name). The room rate is $89.00 a night plus tax.

We have a block of 25 rooms that can be reserved. We have a couple smoking, some with 2 beds, some with 1. I guess there is another group at the hotel that weekend.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: If you call, make the reservation through the front desk. If they try to transfer you to "Group Sales", tell them you need to stay with the front desk.


Friday Night:

We will plan on having dinner somewhere as a group at 7:00 p.m. then a social hour afterward back at the hotel or a local establishment (we can determine that later).

Saturday:

Meet in parking lot around 8:30ish, with KSU at 9:00 for our ride. As it stands now, we are looking at a 250-300 mile ride which would be pretty much all day with a few breaks thrown in.

If we want to cut it into two rides, we can do that with a longer/shorter ride.

Saturday night:

We will have a meal together in the area with door prizes and such. Following this, return to the hotel and have some down time on the hotel grounds. There is some seating down by the river that I'm sure would be a fine spot to go.

Sunday:

Leave for home.

Hopefully everyone is still in for the rally and will be taking care of rooms soon. Saw on the hotel thread that only 12 rooms were spoken for.

On another note, I can't remember who volunteered as our route engineer/navigator. We will also need a ride captain and a tail gunner...I know David and I usually ride in the back so we will do those duties.

If they say only 12 rooms have been resereved and I have counted about 26 bikes that say they are coming Maybe we need to check on our rooms and make sure that there is no mix up. I know it would be bad to get there and not have a room. I did check on mine but forgot to ask how many was reserved
