It is not the end for me yet

The old bike my 2009 Vulcan Nomad is gone and I got a very fair price for it and so I must move on.

As some of you know over a year ago I got Sugar Diabetes and along with that came a disease that is set off by the Diabetes in my legs and I have lost mussel mass in my legs. I could no longer hold up the roughly 900 lb Vulcan. I have in my life only had really heavy cruiser type bikes as that is what my mind set always said was a real bike.

So a great friend of mine lent me his 920 Yamaha Virago for a couple weeks. It was funny the first time I tried to start out on this bike I wondered where the bike was underneath the seat of my pants it was so light. It was wonderful I had a blast on this bike and so the start of my search began.

I finally found a 2002 Susuki Intruder 1400 which weighs in at 453 lbs. Your not going to believe this it only had 5000 kms on the bike. That is right it was practically brand new out of the box. He had quite a few extra's on the bike rear rack, saddle bags, windshield, and so on. It was mint and the price was right as he lived in a remote location and was getting very few calls on the bike. So a couple weeks ago I became the owner of this bike.

So guys I back might not be the heavy weight bike I am used to but I am riding again and wow it is fun to be on two wheels again. I love it.

It has been a journey for sure.$_59 (1).jpg

I know that day will come as well (it does for all of us, if we are blessed to live long enough), and I'll be checking out something with three wheels. I'll still be in the breeze, as are you!

It isn't WHAT you ride, but THAT you ride is what counts!

Here it is and it is not a Vulcan. I miss the old bike but this will have to do. I loved the old bike it looked so awesome and I hardly got to use it since the rebuild. What a shame.

Any ways this is more fun than not riding at all. I love being back on two wheels again.

Here it is.
