Just say no to waxing and shaving...oh, wait, you're talking about bikes.

Ummm, whatever the spray thing at the car wash has in it.

I use the S100 Carnauba wax. Comes in a white container with a blue lid. About $19 at your local HD dealer or you can order it from many web sites. Great stuff, doesn't stain your seats or any black material on the bike. Holds up well and goes on and buffs off very easy.

I lied, this weekend, I used some Meguiar's Clear Coat Paint Wax. Works pretty good.

Simonize if I want to polish. Meguiar's Gold Glass if I just want to wax.

FWIW,

I am a huge Meguiars user and I use the system.

Scratch out if I get any light scratches
#7 show car glaze
NXT wax (used to #26, but it doesn't last as long
Quick Detailer in between.

HOWEVER, I have a black bike and in search of the ever elusive deep wet shine, I picked up some turtle wax "color back". For those of you who don't know, it's a wax with color in it to "restore" the richness. Now, I tried it on a whim on top of my regular regime and I have to admit it did make the paint on the tank seem about 2 feet deep.

So, I'll stick to my Meguiars for the regular stuff, but for that little something extra on the black, it's in my cabinet.

Thx TKD for the color back tip since I own a black/silver bike myself. Will have to go to wally world to see if they have the turtle stuff.

Doc,

I don't think Wally-world carried it, but most other auto stores do. Found mine at an autozone. Also, it does come in different colors which are indicated by the bottle.

The bottle I got had a "chipstick" in it which is supposed to be a colored filler (kind of looks like a lipstick tube). It was worthless for me.

Again, This is not my main wax, but I did like how it added a little something after I had already done my standard wax job.
