H-D nacelle on a 1500 Nomad. Anyone here ever do it?

I just found a write up "how to" on putting a nacelle like HD Road Kings have on a '01 Vulcan Classic. I'm hoping the width is the same from an '01 1500 Classic to an '02 1500 Nomad on the forks. It's a project I'd like to take on. Has anyone here done it? Does anyone have better pics than the small resolution pics I've found? Any help would be appreciated.

I'll give you some advice that was given to me a couple of years ago. If you want a Harley, buy a Harley. It took $10k+ before I heeded that advice (although I didn't end up with a Harley).

Big difference between adding a different head light and what your were trying to do to your Nomad.

Jo Bear, added a Doss teardrop headlight nacelle to his 1500 Nomad along with a 2006 Harley Fatboy front-end. It turned out great.

BTW, if you haven't seen Jo Bear's Nomad, here it is. He did pretty spectacular and innovative work!

Not making a Harley, I'm trying to make my Nomad different and my own. There's a saying "Stock Sucks" that I know not everyone agrees with but it's a motto I seem to follow. I love to build things and have never been afraid to tear something apart and switch it up a bit. I'm a 20+ year machinest so I like creating my own parts or modifying stuff to make it work.

I already have a Harley based chopper that I built. I love to build them up probably more than I love riding them.

Thanks for the free advice though.

I don't care for Harley more than any other brand but they have a few design cues that have always spoken to me - that nacelle being one of them. Their front and rear fenders being the other two...the rest I can take or leave.

There are a few more things that I like about HD's, but I totally get what you're saying. Along those lines, this wheel that's on the new Switchback (?) is the best looking stock wheel ever put on a cruiser motorcycle in my opinion. I'm trying to hunt one down, but they are going for more money than I'd like to spend on stock take off parts.

Not really. Just a different scale.

this is actually my handywork several years ago I did my brothers bike it an o1 classic, the forks is the same for the nomad what I had to do is purchase a light bar that carries the blinkers for a nomad to make it work. thw nacelle is held to the forks with 1 1/2 copper standoff pipe clamps with stainles steel threaded rod cut to length with chrome acorn nutson the outside its a easy project, their is some cutting of the nacelle to make it fit right.( this is funny how you found this)

PERFECT!!!!! I'm gonna pick your brain a little skullbagger. Was the nacelle you used for a softail like a Fatboy or is it for a cruiser like the Road Kings? I ask because I would love to use a stretched fiberglass nacelle but all the ones I've found are for Road Kings. Thanks for the info, man.
