vin decoder..need help
hi..i got..according to my registration slip a vn1500 2000 model(carbed)..was original green on green colours(dont remember the correct name of the colour)..tried to decode my vin..suspecting the bike NOT to be a 2000 model..but 98 or 99..
well heres the VIN: JKAVNT50GHA0xxxxx ( i x-ed out the last numbers,,as they have nothing in value) the wierd thing here is the 10th didgit..that supposed to be the year...and H= 1987..WTF??? this is an european bike..not sure it has something to do with it

tried the vindecoder on kawa page..says its a 87 model..hehe

Where is the oil sight glass on your Nomad? If it is hidden in front of the bulge on the lower cover, it is a '98 (usually titled '99) and one of the few out there. If it is in the normal, behind the bulge position, it is a typical '99.

i'll check on the sight glass...problem is that the bike was imported from Germany..and was first time registered january 2000....

so this could be a '99 or '00 ?? then i guess i'll have to check for POG ??

Did you check the sight glass? If it is a '98-99, it has a POG unless it was replaced.
