Rlfnomad - Sorry for your unnerving situation. I went through a similar thing with my daughter and some local gangsta's here some years ago.

I hope it works out for you, and you get some help from the police. Its somewhat terrifying to think about your options, knowing your survival is the ultimate goal.

Good luck man,,,,,,

Or worse, where he hides them.

Matt is correct, aim for the center of the chest. In a high stress situation unless you have had the training of the Special Forces and are constantly practicing, practicing and practicing you may not be able to hit an area as small as the throat.

As sorry as I am to say it, you can't depend on the police to be much help. It will all be over before they can arrive.

Watchman, is that a KelTec 32 or 380? I don't think it is the 9mm.

This is the P32. The P380 is the same physical size but with one round less. Also the 380 has a noticealbe heaver recoil.

Talk about noticeably heaver recoil, shoot the new 9mm KelTec. It is a little bit bigger but kicks hard. Fun to shoot for about 10 minuets though

My sister in law just witnessed a murder tonight as her store got robbed and her co-worker was shot. I also lost my cousin to an armed robbery when she was shot while working at a convenience store. I think the judge is a good concept. Screw concealed carry I vote for open carry.

Sorry to hear that wolfman. Condolences to the family.
If I worked in a convenience store I would have a pistol tucked in the back of my pants and a shotgun just under the counter. It's getting bad out there. Some of these people think nothing of taking another persons life.

I looked at the original video on the vendor's site and was concerned about the wide pattern. If we have to shoot we are responsible for every single projectile. Which means if we miss by even a bit we join the bad guy in the same jail cell. Any time somebody is proud of a wide pattern it scares me. Hitting center mass under stress is very difficult, a wide pattern means a considerable amount of the projectiles are going to continue down range, not good. So I went looking for the other side of the story. http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot41.htm has an evaluation of the toy. Less than flattering from a self defense point of view. I'll stick with the standard heavy pistol, .45 or if necessary a 9mm, for carrying purposes. The title of the thread is probably correct, a nice toy. For self defense, it would be better to choose something else.

Geeze Spence, this is terrible. My deepest sympathies to your family. Has all of this tragedy happened in Utah? I pray that your sister in law will be okay. Witnessing a murder has got to be very traumatic.
