That is great! Maybe we could ride back to the NW together. The Friday after the rally, I was thinking of riding down through Missoula over Lolo Pass (Hwy 12) to Orofino, ID where there is a great Best Western Hotel right on the Clearwater River. From there it is an easy ride back into Washington....

OK Guys and Girls. I tested the hotel system today (after getting a little testy with the group coordinator and going over her head to the GM) and we are ready to go!!

Just call the hotel @ 406-755-7405. Refer to the block of rooms under my name (Greg Schoenkopf) for the dates involved (Aug 2,3,4,5) and it will come up on the clerks computer. You do not need to book the entire 4 nights to get the group rate ($119 + tax).

Sorry it was a hassle Landman...we should all be able to book now.

I called today and booked all four nights. We are in the system and it was not a problem. The regular summer rates there run about $179.00 (ouch...but Glacier NP is right there)...so the negotiated group rate of $119.00 is a bonus. We only have 20 rooms set aside at that rate (less now that a couple of us have booked), so book early to take advantage!

Hey rewindgy - did some checking and Sturgis in 2010 is officially August 8 to 15, not the first week of August. Sturgis occurs on the first full week in August and it always officially starts on Sunday and ends the following Saturday. So anyone going to Sturgis could make the rally in Kalispell.

I have a big trip planned in June, running about 8,000 kilometers, but I'm going to try my best to fit this trip into my schedule. I may book rooms this weekend. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you hooligans.

We stayed at that H-Inn Exp this past weekend Sat-Mon on our last bike ride of the season to the USA and it is a great hotel. Very clean, great staff, very very nice beds. Right across the street from it is an Ihop, a sizzler, and a few other choices plus some shopping ect with fuel just a block away. Well chosen.

My wife and I are planning on attending. Just making arrangments with the parents to take the offspring for that week. We would arrive 01Sunday, or possibly Monday and depart on the 05 Thursday. Will book a room shortly. If anyone is comming down through Alberta via Fort Macleod #2 thru Cardston/Piegan border crossing or via Lethbridge hiway #5 thru Cardston/Piegan border crossing we could meet up. We can adjust our day to Sunday or to Monday. We typically go through the Piegan border crossing #2- US89 then to St mary's and then across the logans pass into Columbia Falls then there are a few options to Kalispell, 206 just prior to Columbia falls then to the 35 to Kalispell is a real nice mellow backroad kinda ride. Looking forward to it and meeting new friends.

I will seriously have to consider going being only about 5 hours away. The ride over Glacier National Park is beautiful done it many times.
