I just got home. My wife and I had a great time and it ended to soon. Al of you were just the greatest people I've ever met and I hope we can meet again. I know the economy is in a down turn but I sure would like to see everybody in Custer if you can make it. And also thanks to the non-Nomad riders for showing up too, along with your other bikes you brought along a lot of humor and brotherhood, and you made the experience more enjoyable!

I could go on and on, but I'mm gonna keep it short. I enjoyed meeting y'all.

This was my first ever rally. There were 32 bikes present and 19 were Nomads. More than the bikes however it was the people that made this something to remember. Everyone that I met and talked to were what I would call "good folks." I would ride anytime and anywhere with them. Can't wait to do it again!

I am home, already been out to school (it never ends with this job) and now doing some laundry for Tammy while she grocery shops to feed the boys (lots of food needed for that!).

We had a great time meeting new people, renewing some old friendships and riding some great roads. I'm hoping everyone makes it home safely.

I'll post some photos tomorrow.

Sheila and I got home around 7:30 last night. Even with the AirHawk seat cushions, we still had sore a$$es. We had another great time at these rallies. Again we met some great people and some great roads to ride. Thanks to all that contributed to make it happen.
By the way, at one of our stops on the way home, we noticed that one of my rear signal lenses had vibrated off. Hope it didn't happen while cruising in front of a HD.

It was great meeting you and Sheila Saturday. Natalie and I will be in Virginia in September like we mentioned at breakfast, maybe if time permits we can get together for lunch or something.

Classic,

my left rear lens came off 50 miles from home - go figure. I had a spare at home but can't explain why it broke off.

What a great trip - thanks to all who worked to put it together.

For those who asked here's the link for the stereo -

http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/S...radio_pkg.html

Let me know if the link doesn't work. The stereo works fine up to about 70 mph depending on wind conditions, other bikes, your pipes and the volume of your MP 3 player. For $86 without the FM I think it's tough to beat [$102 w/FM].

ps.

Mike in Fla - send the $20 for the seat pad or stop over and I'll let you buy me some wings and a beer. I'm glad I stopped at Wally in Valdosta to get the replacement. Made it home around 8pm - 600 miles and 13 hour trip. Felt great.

Jim,

Wings and beer sounds good. We'll figure out a time.

The pad helped however, I think I am going to get my Mustang seat customized. The Mustang is good up to a couple hundred miles then I'm done with it.

PM the model amp you have. I think I'm going to re-do my speakers.

The wife and I just want to say that this was really a special event. She really enjoyed meeting everyone (so did I) and she can't wait to "do it again". I want to say "THANK YOU" to everyone. It was a special event, and the folks are what made it special!!!!!!!!!!

Great weekend!! Pat and I had a great time at the rally and weather was perfect! Even though we didn't come as far as some did, we did take the l-o-n-g way home Sunday and got in another couple hundred miles. Met a lot of nice folks and hope everyone got home safe and sound.
Will post some of the pics we took, shortly.
Ride safe,
Don (jd01)
