2010 Rally?

Where would you guys be interested in meeting in 2010? Wallawa? Boise?

Lowell, Idaho. Lochsa River. US 12 to Missoula. can we say twisties? Beautiful country.

I know we have not been to S.Dakota yet. Let's start to talk anyway. Ideas, input. Need input.

U.S. 12 and Missoula sounds like fun. I'd like to do Lolo when I'm not trying to make it all the way back to Orting in one day

Update: Just saw the thread about some magazine and all the talk about 2010 in Glacier for a rally. Love the idea! Was supposed to vacate in Glacier after Custer this year but things changed, so lets go next year.

Glacier might work. Never been there. I was just trying to find a central location.

We started this conversation some time ago but kind of lost track of it. We kicked around a few spots. If you read the whole thread, there was a lot of love for Kalispell, MT (Glacier NP)....but it will certainly be up for a vote when the time comes. I have been thinking more about Jackson, WY as well.

Highway 12 though Lolo Pass is on my list of must rides too.....

Keep the great ideas coming and I can put together a poll....(probably sometime after Custer)...that we can all weigh in on. Maybe we will have a couple new members by then....who knows.

Instead of having a static rally we could make it a road trip. Alaska anyone?

I heard the road to Alaska is beautiful but usually not in great condition due to potholes from ice/snow. Hard on bikes/riders. Any first hand input?

That's not a bad idea. Instead of holding up in one town for a few days....maybe we could plan a week-long road trip. Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies comes to mind, but the possibilities are endless....

! We could pick one place to all meet up....then proceed on a long road trip.

Before too much planning goes into anything....maybe we should do a poll to see what people prefer....traditional rally or extended road trip. At least then we can have an idea of how/where to proceed.

No knowlege here ::) Alaska is a bit far but I like the road trip part.

Jackson, Wyoming is my back yard. That ride along Hwy 12 in Idaho would be awesome. Never been there on a bike but I've driven it a couple of times. BEEEYOOTIFUL country. I have a State Police friend who is moving up there this spring to be the Resident trooper.

i have ridden to hyder,alaska.it makes for a great road trip and
is much shorter then all the way up the alaska highway.i did it
in 8 days from wyoming.traveled thru banif and jasper parks.it
would be a piece of cake for you washington boys.
