Ballast,

I'm glad the issue has been resolved and you'll be back on the road again. BTW, beautiful colour, the bike will look even sharper with the saddlebags installed.

Enjoy your "new" bike!

Elvis

P.S. Trapped air has caused me some grief also when I worked as an engineer. To those who don't understand it, it seems to be a simple problem but I could care less about what they think. It certainly is a show-stopper and must be troubleshot just like any other problem.

Kris....what did you decide to do this weekend? Where?

Charlie...when are we going to see pics with the bags on it? and gas in the tank? Sorry it just slipped out No more....you have been through enough.

I will do something equally as embarrassing....guaranteed...so you will get to repay the ball busting.

Yes, trapped air, vapour lock, can cause all kinds of problems. I was just yanking Charlie's chain. Something like that would be a hard problem to diagnose since it's not something anyone would look for.

Greg,
Tricia and I are going to try and make the run north to visit Lomax. Saturday morning might still be a bit wet, but should get better as the day goes on. Sunday looks real good....and Monday will be mostly cloudy with a pasasing shower here and there. Not ideal....but not terrible either, so if we have to break out the rain gear for a couple hours....we can live with that. I'd rather be riding than sitting home, so we'll make a go of it. I will post some pics upon our return!

Vapor lock can indeed be a tough nut to crack. We run into it quite a bit when we mess with our pumps at the Lift Stations and Treatment Plant. Sooooo.....don't feel bad Charlie, stuff like that can happen to anyone, and I can assure you Greg WILL do something similar....and we can all pile on then.... ;)!!

Ballast - Love the new shiny paint. Seeing the pic made me wonder why Kaw so radically changed such a classic stlyled bike. The 15/16 have such a great look. Sorry bout the mechical problems.

Went on an overnighter from Boise to Wendover, NV last weekend. Rode through snow. About 40 was the warmest it got on the way down there - 55 coming back. I'm wanting better weather, but the benefits of a long spring and cooler summer are good for me. We in the Northwest are the heartiest of folks and we gotta ride through everything, but if it were sunny all the time, the story wouldn't be as interesting.

I'm going to a Men's Retreat this weekend in Kettle Falls, WA. Going to give my trailer a maiden voyage/test run.

Looks good! I particularly like the side box, do you have one on the other side as well?

Hwy 25 along the water (no traffic) and Hwy 20 in that area is great riding. The Acorn Saloon in Colville has good steaks....but can be crowded at peak times.

There is a little dive (Edna's Drive in) in Davenport (where HWY 25 + 2 meet) that has good burgers and berry shakes.

Have a great ride.
