Thanks, yep I realized I was either going to find the unicorn or pay couple extra grand to make a unicorn.

It is ok -Blowndodge's was a great almost. I am just a couple days into the hunt.

I don't mind having a shop do the work adding two-tone fairing and matching trunk and goldwing style armrests .

Guy's got to know his limitations. Mine is riding. Wish there weren't these gorgeous bikes for sale in the wrong colors...

cowdenc. My brother bought it. He'd been bugging me for a year to buy it because I take care of it. Absent of him I would have been honored to cut you a deal! You'll find your steed and will love it! If you are fortunate to buy it from one of the guys here you'll know the history and that would be your best bet!

So what are the odds of finding a 2006 Green/Grey that someone is selling this spring with fairing and trunk? I only seen one so far...and the adult supervision in my house is convinced that another one will come along.

Is it as impractical as it seems to wait for another one exactly like she envisions to come along?

Seeing as how getting a stock bike and doing the project is going to add $2-3k to the price...sigh. Why couldn't I have set on something simple?

I would the odds are pretty long. There many green and silver Nomads to start with and they did not come with a fairing and trunk from the factory. Not all owners do those mods because of the cost involved. If you back off the color choice, you have better luck finding something you'll like. There are a lot of bikes out there with fairings and trunks, but they're not green and silver.

I agree. The odds are not good. Green/silver was only available for 2006 so they are sort of rare to begin with. There could be only a couple of bikes with the features you want in the entire country.

Either pick up a green/silver and add the fairing and tourpak, find a different color bike with a fairing and tourpack and paint it green/silver, or just go with what's available.
