Toy Run / Antique Car Show

The Annual Toy Run for the Shriner's Hospitals is this Saturday in Berlin, Vt. I've done the Toy Run for about 22 years. Snail's pace and lots of clutch. Good cause and is always fun. There are a couple of After the Run parties, they are usually pretty good as well.
This event is always the same weekend as the Antique Car Show in Stowe, Vt. I have tried in the past to do both events, but the schedule of a parade and after parade activities means there are a lot of cars not at the grounds when I get there.
So, I'm wondering which I should do this year.

What would you do?

Toy Run / Antique Car Show

Myself I am done with the whole parade thing I always get stuck behind some bike that is more concerned with getting their feet back to their highway pegs, I always do a ride up here called the ride for dad to fight prostate cancer( which my father is fighting right now) and I am not saying my skill level is the top of the class but I wish every body else was at the same level. That is my rant for the day :) so by 2 cents is take your toy for the good cause then go to the car show

Well I've decided to drop off a pile of games at the State house steps with the Shriner's and head to the car show. Couple of people aren't happy with my decision, but I'm not getting younger. So I guess they will have to deal with it.

Well I guess I won't be doing either event this Saturday. My wife's classmate and brother to a friend of mine, crashed his car on rte.73 in Rochester, Vt. He and his wife owned two businesses, he was on his way home to Brandon from the one in Bethel when the accident occured.
For those of you that were on the ride with TC into Vt. from the rally in L.Geo. Rte. 73 has a corner that is posted at 15 mph, maybe some of you will remember that road.

BRANDON - Richard "Rick" Dutil, 58, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, from injuries sustained in a automobile accident in Rochester.

Mr. Dutil was owner and operator of Depot Farm Supply in Leicester and Green Mountain Feeds in Bethel.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brandon.

A full obituary will be published in a future edition of the Rutland Herald.

Arrangements are pending at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon
