Bike shows

The 2012 Montreal motorcycle show is February 24-26.
When is the one in your area, and do you intend to go?

Checking to see if I can make the Montreal Show.

Boston 1/28 - 1/29 World Trade Center
http://kevmarv.com/

Hoping to get there, not going to be able to go the NYC for the International Show.

I usually go on the Friday right when it opens at noon. If you happen to go that day, maybe we could meet just to say hi.

January 19 - 22, 2012 TRADEX EXHIBITION CENTRE • ABBOTSFORD

We have ours on January 19 - 22, 2012 at TRADEX EXHIBITION CENTRE, ABBOTSFORD. B.C.

I'm currently in Fort McMurray, AB and will be back home Friday night. I'm usually burned out after these trips but I might go to the show either Sat or Sun.

They offer many prizes, who knows I might even bring a bike home.

Hi Norm
I missed the Montreal Bike show last year, but have been to it in 08-09 & 2010 I will be out of town that weekend.
Bike Show in Ottawa was January 13-14 & 15. I went early on the Sunday, hardly anybody. It took me about 1.5 hour to see everything. I’m sure it was busier in the afternoon.
Much smaller than the Mtl. Show!
I would like to do the Toronto show next year.

Enjoy Norm

We had another great show. Snagged a Shoei Qwest helmet at a bargain price. And of course got a few photos on the Vaquero:

Did you enjoy the show Elvis? I went on Friday with "hammer" and you could have fired a cannon off in there and not hit a soul. Well almost. I thought there was a lack of vendors this year too. The vintage section was minimal. 10 bikes I think.

I did manage to connect with the new Kawasaki rep. We chatted a while and I introduced him to V.B.A.. The previous rep never passed on the KawaNOW info.. This fellow was very keen and I'm to get in touch with him so he has all the info on the upcoming rally this summer. He said he could send out discounts for service and things and T shirts and hats till they come out our "ying yang" but thought that with there being a number of American people coming he said he'd rather do soft bag liners and things like that. Things for our bikes. He also said he would be getting hold of the Alberta rep and get him involved as well. He said he/they have a big budget for things like this. He also showed some interest in attending the rally as well. I also dropped off a bunch of new business cards to be handed out by the sales guys and at the front Kawasaki desk. That was the main reason for going this year anyway. Promote the rally and get some goodies to give away at the "wind up dinner". I also hit up a few of the smaller vendors in hopes they would donate some things. I'll wait to see how that turns out though.

Hi Rick,

I sure did. We attended three presentations:

The first one was on a long distance riding, really long, through Americas then from South America to Middle East and from there to South Korea.

The second was a commercial one, road trips offered in Sierra Madre, Mexico.

The third one was by an East Vancouver girl who covered 33000 km in South America, solo, no support vehicle and no sponsor. Truly amazing, inspiring and fantastic individual.

I spent some time at Kawi, HD, Suzuki and Victory displays. No special deals on bikes, kind of disappointed...

It wasn't overly crowded on Saturday but I'd say it was a good turn out.

The next important date in year is the day I put the Nomad back on the road, cannot wait...

Cheers,

E.
