Apparently they have done away with algebra and even basic math in schools these days, ask any young gas or convenience store clerk. Most are clueless without a calculator.

My niece, who was a freshman in high school at the time, asked me if I would like to be in high school again and do I miss those days.
I told her no I was happy with my life just as it was. She said I was the first person she asked that answered no

I enjoyed algebra, and advanced math has allowed me to have a career where I can enjoy my toys and travel.
