Low blow by Victory ?

What do you guys think of the new ad by Victory.
It is 2 pages and the first page is titled "Their Way" showing 4 guys and a woman at a gas station with 4 Harleys on trailers and one in the back of a pickup truck.
The next page is titled "The Highway" and shows two Victorys being riden down a long stretch of road.
Anybody seen it? Any comments

There's a big difference between pride and arrogance. I think it's great to be proud of what your ride, whatever you ride.

Some of the Victory owners on this forum and adverts like that seem to scream arrogance, ie, "an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions."

No thanks!

Only problem with being arrogant like that is that it causes me to think "HD owner on steroids." Lessens my view of the product.

I had an idea when the V2K came out to have it towing a trailer with a HD on the back going to sturgis. That's way arrogant, but it would have been funny.

The premise of the ad appears to reek of arrogance... but so what. There was a BMW ad several years ago that suggested BMW riders not to "wave"... because they were too busy riding a master-machine in a configuration not allowing time for "waving" -- besides "waving" was for "those other people".

It was arrogant in my opinion... but it didn't bother me.

Most all vehicle ads try to inject some sort of attitude associated to their product.

So... no big deal to me, and in fact it is kind-of funny.

The added pressure and competition should only prove to help improve products for the consumer. HD has cornered the market for a long time, thus might have been cruising-along a little more than they should have. As soon as they start losing market-share... they will be forced to regain it. This, again, will only help consumers of their products.

Competition is good...
