Waving New Voyager rider from Iowa

Greetings from Iowa. After being a long time Yamaha Royal Star fan (previously owning 5 different Royal Stars) I picked a nice 2010 Voyager yesterday. I read through this forum before deciding. I rode it home 80 miles yesterday and was very pleased with the ride. It was cool and cloudy and the wind protection was great. It handles great and I can't wait to get more seat time in. Now I need to get used to a twin cylinder!

Greetings from Las Vegas! Other than the V4 engine on the Royal Star, the Voyager and Royal Star are very similar. Why the change after 5 Yamahas?

Welcome from AZ. I lived in Waukee for 9 years. Where did you buy the bike?

Thanks for the warm welcome. To answer a few questions:

Even though I loved the Royal Star I am open to a good deal! I got a good deal and decided to try the Voyager. If it doesn't work out I can sell and make a few bucks. The reason I has so many Royal Stars was people offered more than I gave and I made a bit of money. I was ready to buy an 08 Venture when I found my Voyager. I like the fixed faring, radio is awesome, looks great, and not as top heavy as the Venture.

I bought the bike from an individual in northern Iowa. I looked at left over at Struthersbros in Des Moines but saved money going used. Waukee is a nice place and really growing!

Yeah, it had 5000 people when we moved there in 2002 and 20000 when we left last year. It is a nice place, but my wife had an opportunity where she works that brought us to AZ. It's totally different here than anywhere I have lived. Can't find a good pork tenderloin here.

Welcome from Massachusetts. Last big ride on my "96 royal star was out to Des Moines last summer. Got back and bought a leftover vaquero. So far Kawasaki has been good to me. Enjoy!
