Mod for eyeglasses

I found a way to carry my eye glasses on the voyager when on vacation using magnets. The only time i need them is on vacation when i might need to take a quick look at a map which usually means get them out of the trunk or if my passenger has room to carry them go through that whole hassle of passing them back and forth. I glued 2 strong magnets behind the plastic piece under the 12 volt outlet and use the cheap magnifier glasses for 2 bucks just in case something happens. So far I've ridden about 6 hours this weekend and their solidly attached. I like the idea that i can open the case and just take the glasses out leaving the case attached. If anyone's curious the magnets were from kjmagnetics.com #MMS-A-X8.

Good idea for using that wasted space, they should have put a door in that space. I ride with reader safety glasses, clear on top and needed magnification on lower part.also have sunglass version.

As do I, and I find it very cumbersome to access the readers when I do not have them on. Tough to put shield bags on these beasts. And especially on the Vaqueros. The lowers do not have the same surface space. But I am thinking, You have me thinking. SUCKS GETTIN OLD, But I do ride safer. That is a plus

Great Idea. I have often thought about looking for a small marine glove box to install there that I can keep glasses or my phone for easy access. I just never seem to get around to taking it apart to find the dimensions I would need to look for. I'm glad someone took the time to find a use for that area.
