HEY DAN LUND

That's just way too crazy. I've been to Paris and that's pretty high.

HEY DAN LUND

Redeye, Lomax started a thread in the offtopic board.

That was simply amazing. After watching it from your link again, I wondered how fast he was going. He doesn't seem to be going too fast across the flat, but he sure goes vertical fast it seems.

Any traffic cops with a good guess of how fast he goes across the bottom? I imagine that he has the initial ramp going down on the take off so that he can start in 2nd or 3rd gear and not shift as much.

When I rode dirt bike I was into jumping high and far, but on jumps that you had to hit a certain landing I was never the one to figure out how fast was just enough. I'd ask other riders how fast they were going and what gear they were in, then I'd do it.

The hard part for him wasn't doing the jump in the video, it was figuring out have fast to do it on his practice set up. That is where the most amazing skill was. I would never have the guts to be the one to figure out what speed crashes you, and what speed is just right.

HEY DAN LUND

I apologize for the double posting, I did miss it.

O & A is where I heard of it too Todd. I did see the keneival jump & thought at the time, what's the big deal.

Robbie Maddison did say in the interview, on landing, he tore the webbing between his thumb & forefinger all the way down to the bone. Took 10 stiches on each hand to repair the damage. OUCH.
