Hotels / Black Hills South Dakota

I'll be heading to the Black Hills, SD in July (13-15). I haven't been there yet and I was hoping someone could provide me recommendations for a hotel/motel. im not picky, as long as its clean and centrally located.

Thanks

Ron

I stay at the Chief Motel in Custer every year, clean and reasonably priced. They have covered motorcycle parking and a bike wash area and they put a fresh towel on your bike every morning. They are also within walking distance of many restaurants and bars.

The Chief is good. Another 2 are the Rocket motel and the Mile High motel. The Mile High is clean but the rooms are small.

The Rocket Motel was cheap and worked out well.

If you want a little more action at night, Deadwood area is a good choice.

I stayed at the Super 8 in Custer. It was really nice with a free breakfast every morning. It's only about 10 minutes to Crazy Horse and 30 minutes to Mt. Rushmore. Less than an hour to Rapid City/Sturgis.
