If she said its probably going to be a waste of your time I'd forget about it for now. You can always check with them in a couple months and see if they can do it then.
Ive gone without one this long I can wait another year if I need to.
Thanks again for all your trouble in getting it organized.

A few people have requested that I email them personally with updates on the group buy so they don't have to monitor this thread. There will be too many people involved in this for personal emails, therefore I will not be doing this. All updates will be posted on this thread (definitely) and if I have time, the FJR 1300 Forum and the GL1800 Forum. If you are unable to monitor this thread for the updates, (which will ultimately include when to call in and order) please don't sign up for the group buy.

Thank you,

Mike Williams
All one has to do to get email updates is subscribe to this thread and it's easy to do. Just look for thread tools at the top of the page just above the first post on any page. Click on thread tools and choose to subscribe via email. I understand not wanting the extra headaches Mike. If anyone wants to potentially save a couple hundred $$ keeping the work load for you to a minimum is not asking to much. You've already done more than most would by attempting to organize a list and make the phone calls to Russell Day Long. Thanks again

When you think about it, RDL is basically giving up around 50k in sales. it must be nice to be in a position to turn down that kind of an order.

I feel they are playing chicken as well. Trying to get as many people to order at full price as possible. When business slows down in Nov.. or Dec. then I think they will change their tune. Much like they did last year.

I'm not sure they are giving up anything yet. They may well be playing a smart hand of cards. You guys keep sending 'em and I'll keep adding 'em! We'll see who folds when all bets are in.

Fammdw. You stated this:

"It would be hard for me as a business owner to say no to an organized 100+ customer sale during the slowest time of my retail year".

I doubt the wnter is the slowest time of the year for RDL It is probably their busiest time.
Who wants to be without a seat in the summer ? Most people here in Canada get their seats modified during the winter when their bikes are in storage.

I am still in good luck and Thanks. I think you should call Kim back when you hit 100.
