I'm surprised that hasn't happened to me yet, knock on wood! Oh well, covers are cheap compared to replacing the deck!

Oops, have not done that one yet.

I did forget to turn the burners off once. Left the cover off for a couple of days. Covered it with out looking at the knobs.

A week later when I went to light the grill, no propane. ::)

I haven't done that one yet, but I have a couple of times left to keep warm on the shut off grill that extra burger or piece of chicken I cooked, only to forget it and cover the grill and discover it the next time around.

Dang, I'm glad I don't put a cover on mine or I'd be right with you.

Or maybe the neighbor needs the Fire department on speed dial for the next time he sees Tim barbecue.

It is also advisable to move the grill away from the house that has vinyl siding. Especially when said grill has been known to reach temps as high as 700 degrees. (By the way it works great from cooking parts to clean them.) Its amazing how high heat can take the woodgrain finish right out of the siding.
