Mine are not for sale.
Chaps are usually fitted for the size of your thigh. I bought mine from S&S Leathers, Texas. They are thick and have held up through a 80 foot slide. Local leather man repaired and buffed them to like new condition. They are 18 years old now. I paid a little extra for them, but when you need them......

deacon, There not on sale now but periodically CuiserCustomizing.com has them under their Clearance section for $69.99 and you can use their sizing table and even if you don't buy from you can get an idea what size you need . PS it does go by thigh size with I think standard length.

I bought chaps from Jafrum. They are,......OK I guess. Mine were under $100. ....90 something $$$
They are a split leather though. Thin in comparison to full grain leather. Cycle Cat could probably advise you on what to look for when it comes to leather. I'm getting a good cowhide pair of chaps made as I type this. They should be finished the middle of March. $380.00 "all in." My insurance paid for them from my "incident" last fall.

Mine are made from USA cowhide, thick and soft to bend. There are a lot of leathers made of goat hide, made in Pakistan. I think they will hold up for one get off. You can save money with the thinner goat hide.

When I bought mine, I went to a local motorcycle leather shop and had them fitted. I was told you go by the fit around the upper thigh, not by waist size. You want them to fit snugly, but not too tight around the thigh, because they are going to stretch some. Too loose and they aren't going to look right, too tight and they are difficult to put on.

Just my experience.

Jafrum quality leaves a lot to be desired. They will not stand behind their products either. You can get decent deals from them but remember that you get what you pay for.
I bought a set of saddle bags from them and the stitching and brads came loose. When I called to ask how to handle the warranty return,I was told that that wasn't covered. If a company won't cover defects in workmanship, what good is a warranty ?????

Like Scott I was measured by the maker,..... [at the bike show.] They are made by a small leather shop that caters to biker style stuff. Stan the Leather Man. They've been set up in a town called Mission for a while. "Hammer" introduced me to the place.

WTB leather chaps

Just bought a new pair yesterday, guy at worked turned me on to them. They have a ton of chaps and all leather products, very reasonable prices, and loved it that they were a family run business. Their link is:

http://www.lutzsleather.com/

They will fit you right there, or do a custom pair, whatever you want. They took about an inch off the bottoms, stitched the seam so it doesn't come undone, took parts off the "belt" and custom fitted that to my size waist. I think I paid about $100.00 with the 'braids' on them. Depending on the chaps, they started I believe at $60 bucks and ran on up. I've actually never seen more chaps in one place. Tons of gloves, Jackets, everything you could think of. Even had more motorcycle add ons then I see in most motorcycle dealerships anymore.

It's about an hour out of Pittsburgh, they have a nice website, very polite and friendly. I believe they will be getting most of my business now, was very impressed with them.

And no, I have never been there before yesterday. But I do like to give my business to a place where it is appreciated. Just don't get much good service anymore.

I have a pair from Fox Creek Leather. You won't find better quality but they cost a little more.

These kind of defeat the whole purpose of wearing chaps.

And Loafer is this where you got yours? http://www.ssleathers.com/
