Maybe looking for a Fuel Tank

My 06 Nomad has developed a leak at the rear seam on the tank...The dealer is threatening to not honor the extended warranty Because I used a bead of Tank Seal, which only slowed the leak...So I may be looking for a used tank...won't know for a day or two...D0es anyone have any suggestions other than parking the bike in the showroom and letting it leak? I believe the Service agent is doing all he can to help me...they have been fair in the past...but if the worst thing happens I want to be prepared....Thanks....

I would fight that. Just say you used the bead as a quick fix to be able to safely move the bike =)

There are salvage yards that post on Ebay all the time. I would look there.
Not honoring the warranty because of your attempt to fix the leak is BS.

Please dont park it in the garage if you have a gas-fired water heater that shares that space. If you do, the problem could be more severe than just replacing a tank should the leaking vapors ignite.

Thanks for the support. I just talked to the Service Department at Kawasaki, Honda of Medford Oregon and I am pleased to say that Kawasaki has had this problem before. Not enough to generate a recall but enough to not question replacing my tank. I Am happy with the dealer they went out of their way to be sure my problem was solved. I would also urge members to keep an eye on the back seam on their tanks. and be aware of any gas smell. Like I was told it is not an uncommon problem. Thanks guys.
