Who's planning to go to Estes Park CO???

So let's get this started. Its 1662 miles the shortest way from my house to the National Rally in 2013. Not that the shortest way should be taken on a bike. I am planning to go.

That makes it about 1770 for Amy and I think she's planning to go. Who else has plans from the SE Region?? (no disasters this time kawhead )

Count me in Todd. I'm still trying to figure out my route there as well. Do I make it 135 miles or 146 miles? Choices. Damn I hate them.

My Wife and I are going to be going. We plan on doing an "avoid" interstate route. Thinking of doing it over 3-4 days each way to just take it easy. What is your plan going to be going out there?

I'm a little farther than that, but it's all good. I'm planning on riding over to Greensboro the day before Todd and I decide to go.

Kawhead, where are you?

Hey all, I will be going for certain. And I like the idea of "taking the road less traveled" if folks have the time to commit. I think I will be going out via a route that paralells the TN borders with GA, AL & MS then angling up through the Ark/Missouri and somewhere near Witchita KS it will have to be interstate to Estes Park Co. I will come home Via I-80 Thru Des Moines IA and Ft Wayne IN so that I can visit my daughter then my son. Plus I will probably stay a week or two longer than the rally to explore so I would say, count on me going and being there but that I will probably come back on my own. Unless there are others that want to stay for a while, then I say let's make a "trip" out of it!

Not to far, just wrong time for work. Todd, I rode further to the Redwood rally than it would have been for Maggie Valley. Oh, back at ya buddy.

I wonder how a US64 route all the way out from NC through Oklahome/northern Texas/new mexico would be ?????? Could jump on I-40 to make up time if needed in several spots.

Shortest route for us is 812 miles. It would be I15 and I70. The route we will take will be about 930 miles. Up I15 to Provo, UT and turn right. The last time I was on those roads and Estes Park was over 30 years ago. This should be fun.
