Biketoberfest Meet Up

OK, I'll start the thread - Coach and I were both thinking the group could meet at the KAWA tent and then lunch. So post your plans here.

Coach - you're probably the "driver" on this one. Is Saturday the day?

That's Saturday, October 17th in case anyone was wondering...

Oh, and Daytona is the place.

I'm thinking we can meet up at the speedway at the Kawasaki tent. Then we can do some lunch somewhere in the area...I'll do some research on places to eat at.

hope to join you all there. Got the verdict today. RT Knee surgery (scope) on Wens of next week. The same thing they did to LFT knee July 2009.
I will be back riding in about 3 weeks if goes well. Had planned a ride out to Natchez Trace then IA and CO to take about 3 weeks starting mid Sept so may still do that starting early Oct and will miss you all if I do but other wise see you then.

Rosco, good luck with the knee and we expect to see you at the Biketoberfest Meet Up. If not have a safe trip to Natchez Trace.

If you are doing the Natchez Trace ride, check out the South Central board. I just did the Clinton, MS to Nashville run on it this weekend.

I was going to trailer bike to DesMoines IA in mid Sept and meet daughter (just got a RoadKing) and spend a week n half riding out west and back. Then trailer to Nashville and ride Trace top to bottom. Have friends in mid west and we were going to meet in Nashville at North end of Trace. Ride down Trace then up Mississippi to cath the fall color. We'd split at Memphis and at Nashville (around end of 1st week of Oct.) I'd pick up car and with bike on trailer, head back to Jacksonville in time to clean things up and do biketoberfest. I know I won't be riding in time to do the trip out west and the Trace loop is in Jeapordy but I really want to do that ride when the fall color is on so I may do it later and miss biketoberfest. Or I may not be able to do it till the 2011 fall season. I have to wait to see how knee is after surgery.

I could already tell the colors are starting to change. Around Jackson everything is green as it can be but close to Nashville you can see the green going away.

Made it through the knee surgery. Dr said that found more damage in this knee (RH) than the one he did last year but that it was more concentrated so recovery will take a little longer but expects end result to be better than the LH was. Said it will be about 30 days before I am riding and wants no heavy duty trips for about 3 months so the trip out west is on hold but that means: I am in for Biketoberfest!
Eric, I could meet you on the way, like in St Augsutine or something? We could have coffee or something maybe at Scotts breakfast place? I haven't been that way in quit a while and I heard that their place got hit by a car or a Truck or something? I know they got robbed also so they haven't had the best luck. Hope they are Ok George is from Jax so maybe we can get him to join in? If there is anyone else from along the way, they would be welcome also! I will keep in touch and when time gets closer we'll firm up details!

Or did I miss something? You can bring to "near" Daytona.

I will now be in Daytona Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Could meet up for lunch or anything else everyone has planned. Wife will be joining me on Saturday mid-day. Looking forward to it!
