Florida Meetup - Page 3

I'm back now. Feeling better now, I hate the flu.

So while I was gone some suggested Cedar Creek, Floral City / the Nature Coast and it look like many of you are meeting in the Daytona Area.

Half way between here and there are Leesburg, Travers, Mt. Dora, etc..

There are some nice roads around Howie in the hills and the lakes. We met Taz and the Delphi group at Gator Joes in Ocklawaha a few months ago.

So lets take a vote on that area and see what sticks. IF you guys still want to do an overnight trip there are several places to camp including the Ocala National Forest. They have Holiday Inn Camping also.

The dates will be set after we pick the location.

Palm coast is just down on 1 or 95 From St Augustine on the way to Daytona. Flagler Beach on A1A on between the ocean and PC.

Maybe we should go camping south toward Naples. We've promised Joe the next trip was going to be down by him. If we plan this for November then the weather won't be too cold and we have plenty of time to prepare an overnight trip.

Appreciate the consideration Mike. Got any dates in mind? My schedule is rapidly booking up between now and the end of the year. There is a Turkey Trot ride the weekend after Thanksgiving that will take us to North Florida and point in between. Get with Coach, maybe you can meet up with us when we get there.

Lets see how this flys.

Since one single meet up place would be too far for some folks then how about we have two.

Since Coach and I are in Central Florida I looked for a place that is about 2 - 2.5 hours ride for all of us.

The northern meet up (DaBull please chime in on this location) place could be around St. Marks FL. That is 2.5 hours from Crestview, Jacksonville & Crystal River.

The southern meet up can be around Sebring again. That's 2.5 hours form Crystal River, Naples, Malabar & West Palm Beach.

I'm thinking we can do the Northern meet up early in November and the Southern in Early December.

Let me know your thoughts.

Sounds like a good plan Mike. You are learning the ropes well. Now we need dates for the two rides and we can put it on the calendar.
