Pulled both bikes out today to get them out of the damp garage. Got them in the sunshine, have not ridden yet-too much sand!

Got to take a short ride (70 miles or so) today.

While the temp said it was higher today... it felt warmer yesterday because we had clear sunny skies. Today... overcast, drab, and windy... which always makes it chilly.

A few times the wind really pushed me around... but I fought-back with a smile!

Overall... it was good therapy...

ok stop this now i just spent five days in the hospital and my bike is in many pieces being painted i did call this said as soon as i dropped my bike off weather would change oh hell there calling on radio be back

What the hell are you doing in the hospital for five days Ray?? Where you that sad when your bike went away to get painted?? Seriously I hope you are ok. I was wondering how come we hadent seen you on here!

Damn Ray, hope everything is good with you. You did call it, but you did wait until it was officially Spring before you took your bike in for the mods.

No... seriously. I am working through my back issues. This season will be the tell-tale of whether I can continue on two wheels or not.

However... having said that... I did mention to not be surprised if I arrived on a new bike. I have my eyes on a couple things... but will not pull the trigger yet... and may not this season. In fact, I may intentionally wait until after this season... for many reasons -- which is the first clue of the puzzle as too what my eyes are on...

Man... I'll tell you... it was GREAT getting back out on the road this weekend! I plan on taking another short-spin tomorrow again too!

Hey... on a more serious note... I hope you are okay and that this hospital thing was just a short stint of something that has been taken care of permanently while you were there.

On another note, it appears that Second Chance Motorcycles has become quite popular with Vulcan owners. I have to kind-of laugh, as they are located in my home-town of Pekin, Illinois -- of all places. From pictures, I know exactly where they are located. I'll have to stop by there sometime when I visit my mother -- since she still lives there.

Having seen their work in person... I can't wait to see your bike when they are done. It should look sharp.

I as well got to get out for awhile today however the reason for the ride was not a joyous one. About 10 of us escorted a dear friend to her final resting place. Did ride around for a bit afterward but not for long.

There are three brands, that suspicion tells me, that may make changes for their 2014 models... I think I want to wait and see if that happens.

ok im back at work now yes the whole hospital gig was for a nasty bacterial infection they pumped me full of antibiotics and sent me on my merry little way and thank you i am feeling much better and when i dropped bike off i got to check out some of the other bikes roger and his crew have done at second chance custom cycles amazing work these guys do if you get a chance stop by and say hello ill talk to you all later ray

Glad to hear you are doing better Ray, sick sucks. Did Roger give you any kind of time frame as to when your bike would be finished? We are all anxious to see it with all the new stuff on it and a new paint job
