Busted out!!

My Vic could not stand being in storage for another day, she had to come out and stretch her legs today. It was 42 degrees with a light rain in the air when I turned her onto Hwy. 61 and headed north out of White Bear Lake, MN. Within 5 miles the rain stopped and I set my sights on Dennis Kirk for some grip puppies, about 50 miles north. As I neared the edge of town and ran her through the gears it was like hanging with an old friend again. The further north I went the nicer it got, with a temperature of 49 and sunny ski's when I reached my destination in Rush City, MN. Went in and visited for a few minutes with some of the guys and spent a whopping $13.40. Surprisingly I was not the only bike at the store, there was a 70's Guzzi sitting outside when I pulled up that turned out to be one of the employees. When I came out of the store there were a few people checking out my bike so I had to B.S with them for a while before heading for home. The trip home was a little bit cooler as I had a 10mph head wind all the way, and did get sprinkled on a few times. All in all a very good first ride of the season, about 100 miles total. Tomorrow I have to go back out to my work and wash the bike to remove any salt residue that may have built up. The Vic was out of commission for 118 days this past winter, not that I was counting or anything

Hope all of my friends in the NCR are able to get their bikes out soon and do some great riding. See ya all soon.

Good for you. The road here is OK but can't get the bike out because of to much snow.

All but pulled it out of the garage today... ended up re-organizing so I can navigate in the garage in summer-mode; rather than winter-storage mode...

I need a six-stall garage so I can have some room!

Should have it fired-up for tomorrow though. We were in the mid-fifties today, and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer...

Good for you Mike! I had taken the day off today and was getting somethings done....like taxes. I rode to go see my taxman and after that I spent the next 4hrs riding. The thought of jumping on 80 and heading north crossed my mind but I had another appointment at4pm so didnt do it.It sure was a beautiful day down here too and I saw a lot of bikes out. We have had more riding days here than you guys so I am happy you were able to reconnect with your Vic!!

Was finally able to go for my first ride this year. Great day, started out to get some coffee, was in the low 40's. Very comfortable, keep riding. No one said I had to get coffee in my own state, did about 250 miles round trip.

Great first ride Jen. It was quite comfortable with temps in the low to mid forties today.

Good for you! I got mine out yesterday and rode it to work for the first time this season, a cool ride but nice.

Well, you'll never be able to write "never been riden in the rain"... that's what the guy told me when I bought mine... can't say that anymore :)

She was ridden in the rain on the way home the day I picked her up. If you don't ride in the rain you don't ride!

So my friend... seems we are going to get cooler/wetter weather here tomorrow, if that is what you have in Iowa today.

All we need to do to know about "tomorrow's" weather here is to look to the west. Whatever they are having... we are having - a day later.
