Looking at my bike yesterday, I found that both bags are cracked and the front forks are slightly twisted. Thank goodness I have insurance although I have griped about it often. Don't know yet how this is going to work out.

The WX seems to be clearing. We've got about 5 hours to go.
Dave, how's the arm rash and sore muscles doing? Hope all is well.

Your Beamer would have loved these roads. These roads are better suited for sport-bikes than larger cruisers/tourers -- however one can still have a blast on them.

If I lived down there I would definitely have a sport-bike as a second bike.
Greg, Did you ride the ATV trail up to the falls on Thursday morning? I've never seen so many limbs and leaves on a twisted and narrow road. That must have been a hell of a storm that hit that area the night before. Quite challenging and no one went down.

Mitch... yes I did. It was bad, but nothing near as bad as what we went through Wednesday afternoon and night getting back to MV. We were in the middle of that storm for over 5-hours.

To be blunt... I wasn't sure some of us were going to make it back without someone getting hurt.

See this link about the experience we had.

We got back home about 7:30pm yesterday evening. Very tired of travel, but we had a lot of ice cream stops to make us feel better.

Hey, Cajunrider: Thanks for asking... the rash is healing over very well, the bruises are fading, and I filed an insurance claim on the bike to have it fixed! Looking forward to having everything fixed up again.
